Kirribilli is mostly older harbourside blocks at high density, a number of them heritage-affected, with some of the best outlooks in Sydney attached to some of the smallest balconies. The balustrades are typically original masonry and wrought metal on the heritage stock, glass on the few newer buildings.

Generally yes, because we are cleaning the balcony surfaces rather than altering anything. The method matters though. Original metalwork and masonry on the Kirribilli blocks is soft washed at low pressure, not blasted, which is what protects the paint system and stops corrosion starting.

The outlook is the whole point of our balcony. What actually improves the view?

The glass. On a Kirribilli balcony the balustrade glass is what you look through every day, and it accumulates a harbour salt and grime film gradually enough that most people stop noticing. Cleaned and blade-finished properly it is the single change people comment on.

How long does a balcony take?

Most single balconies are done in two to three hours. A larger balcony with a lot of glass and stone can run longer. We work to the result, not the clock, and the quote is fixed either way.

Do I need to be home?

Only if access requires it. If the building or your neighbour can let us in, you do not need to take time off. We will confirm what we need when we quote.

Do you do whole buildings, not just single balconies?

Yes, and that is where it makes the most sense. Doing every balcony in a building in one visit is significantly cheaper per balcony than doing them one at a time, and it means the building presents consistently. We quote strata buildings at a set monthly price and can put it on a 12-month service agreement with locked pricing if the committee prefers a predictable number.
