Tall trees and a roof full of leaves
Tall trees drop leaves, bark and twigs all year round. Gutters block, valleys fill, and overflowing water stains the fascias and walls below. On a heritage home the roofline is a feature in its own right, so a pre-sale clean starts at the top: gutters and valleys cleared first, then the walls washed once nothing more can fall on them.
The bushland side of the block
Homes that back onto bush tend to have a damp, shaded rear: timber decks gone grey and slippery, moss on the outdoor stairs, algae on paths and retaining walls. That rear outlook often makes the listing because it’s the selling point, so it gets the same care as the street front. Original brick, timber and render are washed at low pressure throughout.
