Why Narrabeen Is Different
Damp air around the lake
Near the lake the air holds moisture, and anything in shade stays wet for longer. Walls turn green on their shady side, timber decks go dark and slippery, and paths grow a film of algae. It makes a well-kept home look neglected in photos. We soft wash it so the growth is treated, not just knocked off the top.
Salt on the ocean side
Closer to the surf, salt is the problem. It leaves a white crust on balcony rails and glass balustrades, dulls aluminium frames and clogs flyscreens. On units and houses facing the beach, the balcony is often the main photo, so the rails and glass get as much care as the windows.
