Why Freshwater Is Different
Salt and sea air
Homes near the beach and on the headland collect salt on glass, frames, flyscreens and balustrades. We clear the salt before finishing the glass, because finishing over salt leaves the haze you see in so many beach-suburb listing photos.
Slopes and shaded walls
On a steep street, one side of the house often sits against the hill or next door’s wall and hardly sees the sun. That side grows mould and algae. It’s soft washed, not pressure washed, so render and paint aren’t damaged.
